Data preparation for EDS: how it really works
An honest account of what the software does and does not do. There is no "magic button" that files returns with VID for you. There is accurately prepared data and a clear process for filing it yourself.
Why we do not promise "automatic filing with VID"
Many advertisements promise that everything will "go to VID by itself". In practice, filing in the Electronic Declaration System (EDS) requires authorisation and responsibility that stay with the company or its authorised person. That is why we do not promise it. Our job is to prepare the data for EDS so that filing takes you a few minutes and you do not have to check every figure by hand.
Three statuses to understand

| Ready for submission | The document is complete. You then file it in the EDS portal. |
Step by step: from data to filing
- You enter or import invoices, payroll and other records in the software.
- The system calculates the taxes and fills in the relevant document.
- The document gets the status "Ready for submission".
- You open VID EDS and enter or upload the prepared data.
- After filing, you mark the document as filed to keep the history.
Which documents the software prepares
This process covers all the main documents: read how the VAT return is prepared for EDS, how the employer's report for EDS is built and how payroll is calculated in the software. They all follow the same principle: the data is prepared in full, and you do the filing.
The line we do not cross
Filing in VID EDS must be done manually. The software prepares a document only up to the status "Ready for submission". It does not file with VID on your behalf and does not take responsibility for approving the filed data. You do that as the company's representative.
